I'll be honest man... you are saying that the lakers need to make moves? really? you guys got rid of kwame brown and smush parker... getting rid of those two could be considered getting an all star caliber player for absolutely nothing on other teams... You also got Pau... There is also an improved Bynum... Can't forget odom... ohh yeah, and you have fisher who is only playing in la for pennies because his daughter needs medical treatment...

the lakers had lucky help this year to win a championship than the last time that happened... see the curse of the coin flip...

yes, i'm a suns fan

Jesse, I like your optimism. First two games are in Boston. If the Lakers win one, they're doing great. Let's keep our fingers crossed. :)

As for the latest edition of Lakers-Celtics, IT'S ON!

Anything is now possible. That's the scary part.

You may like what Bill Simmons wrote. He sounds like a Celtic fan, heck a Boston sports fan is more like it. I too have been a Laker fan since the earlier days in LA, but for me it started in 1963. I remember some of our stinging losses to the Celtics and I too would have been fine with playing the Pistons, but I feel if we are to win, we do not need anyone saying well you didn't play Boston to do so. Lakers in 5, possibly 6!

It must be noted that Bill does bring up the last play in game 4 with the Spurs, but fails to mention the previous play when Fisher's shot did graze the rim.

Nothing can pre-empt the Lake Show
Bill Simmons

have some good news and some bad news for you.

The good news? We're one more Boston victory away from an improbable Celtics-Lakers matchup in the NBA Finals that, under normal circumstances, would have me so giddy I'd be walking around Los Angeles randomly re-enacting the McHale-Rambis clothesline on unsuspecting pedestrians.

The bad news? Nobody is beating the Lakers this season. Not Boston, not Detroit, not anybody. They have the best team, the best player and a Hall of Fame coach. It's really that simple.

Tactical deployment of the Box & 1 defense is vastly under-utilized at all of basketball, including the NCAA.

Talent, Strategies & Tactics, and Execution are what wins basketball games not revenge.
